But the Flower Clock is already a small gardening feat in itself: 5 metres in diameter and located on a slope, its surface is covered by approximately 6,500 plants, which are grown according to what is called here 'mosaiculture' - other floral landscape monuments can be found elsewhere in Geneva. Although the plants are cared for once a week, the Flower Clock is given a floral 'facelift' twice a year, in spring and autumn, so as to have it keep in harmony with the colours of these two major seasons.

Located on Geneva's left bank the Jet d'eau
